Obituary of Joyce Helen Moring

OBITUARY Funeral services for, Mrs. Joyce French Robertson Moring, age 80, of Roanoke, will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, December 31, 2010, from the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Baccus officiating. Mrs. Moring will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home on Thursday, December 30th. Mrs. Moring died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Randolph Medical Center. Mrs. Moring is survived by one daughter, Deborah Ann (husband Paul) McMurray of Roanoke; two sons, H.G. "Robbie" Robertson of Roanoke, Richard Earl "Rick" Robertson of Roanoke; two sisters, LaVelle Langley of Roanoke, Frances Johnson of McDonough, GA; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Roger H. Botsford, Bobby G. Robertson, Steven D. Robertson, Gus McMurray, Will McMurray, Gilbert L. Huey, Jr. David Ed. Cummings, Steve Cummings. Mrs. Moring was born, May 26, 1930, the daughter of James Monroe and Mary Ella Sikes French. She was a member of the Roanoke First Methodist Church, had been a homemaker and ran Bob's Grocery. Mrs. Moring was preceded in death by her husbands, Hansard "Bob" Robertson of 24 years, Douglas Grace Moring of 30 years; her parents. Condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
