Funeral service for Edward Bonner, age 71, of Rock Mills will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Foster, Jr., and Rev. Mark Ailes officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM before the service on Saturday, December 10.
Mr. Bonner passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include his wife, Marla Bonner of Rock Mills; two daughters, Karen Rooks and Stacie Bonner, both of Munford; one stepdaughter, Lisa Stiles Ellis of Saks; one son, Daniel Bonner of Lineville; two stepsons, Shawn Stiles of Vincent and Kevin Stiles of Rock Mills; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marlene Carson of Roanoke.
A Cleburne County native, Mr. Bonner was born on April 21, 1945, the son of Doys Edward Bonner, Sr., and Gloria Swancy Bonner. He was a member of the Rock Mills Nazarene Church and worked as a truck driver. Mr. Bonner was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Evelyn Holloway; and two brothers, Terry Wayne Bonner and Johnny Bonner.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to the Rock Mills Nazarene Church.
