OBITUARY
Graveside services for, Mr. James Otis "Jim" Mink, Jr., age 89, of Wadley, will be held 2:30 pm, Sunday, January 2, 2011, from Mountain Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jack Womack officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the funeral home on
Sunday, January 2nd.
Mr. Mink died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Mink is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Sims Mink of Wadley; one step-sister, JoAnne Mink (husband Douglas) Adams of Birmingham; one step-brother, Dr. Larry (wife Cindy) Mink of Jonesboro, AR.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Cotney, Richard Lucas, Larry Sims, Larry McQueen, Jim Sims, and Howard Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be Elliott Gay, Jim Cleveland, Jerry Hall and Wyner Phillips.
Mr. Mink was born, April 5, 1921, the son of James Otis Mink, SR and Stella Hester Mink. He was a member of the Wadley Baptist Church, worked in heavy equipment sales, served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Mink was a great golfer, gardener, woodworker and welder. He had served as president, vice president and secretary of the Wadley Kiwanis Club. Mr. Mink was preceded in death by his parents. Flowers will be accepted or donations to ones favorite charity.
