Obituary of Maudie ree Coker

OBITUARY Funeral services for Maudie Ree Coker, age 92, of Roanoke, will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sid Shelnutt officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 3, 2011. Mrs. Coker died Sunday, January 2, 2011, at Randolph Medical Center. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Gross of Wedowee, Brenda Stann of Acworth, Georgia and Beverly Pike of Roanoke; two sons, Colin Coker of Franklin, Georgia and Steve Coker of Edna, Texas; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Eddie Pike, Robert Smith, James Smith, David Coker, Larry Heath and Ronny Kelly. A LaGrange, Georgia resident for most of her life, Mrs. Coker was born January 4, 1918, daughter of Luther and Maggie Holland Mullis. She was a member of Calloway Baptist Church and had retired from Uniroyal. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jasper Coker and a son, Jasper Coker.
