Obituary of Betty M. Steward

Funeral services for Betty M. Steward, age 84, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 12:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richie Farrow and Rev. Marion Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow at High Pine Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Mrs. Steward passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Wilbur Steward of Roanoke; one daughter, Dianne Steward of Roanoke; and one sister, Sara Lee of Newnan, GA. Pallbearers will be Tom Steward, James Steward, Shannon Steward, Will Steward, Stan Steward, and B.J. Knight. A Roanoke native, Mrs. Steward was born on March 17, 1932, the daughter of Charlie Hugh and Ora Delamar Middlebrooks. She was a member of High Pine Baptist Church and worked as a clerk for Brown Drug Store. Mrs. Steward was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to High Pine Baptist Church.
