OBITUARY Funeral services for, Mrs. Laura Bonner Bartlett, age 96, of Roanoke, will be held 11:00 am, Monday, January 17, 2010, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Boggan officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home on Sunday, January 16th. Mrs. Bartlett died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Traylor Nursing Home. Mrs. Bartlett is survived by two daughters, Peggy Heard of Roanoke, Sandra and husband Cliff Underwood of Anniston; six grandchildren, Diann Adams, Denise Harrison, Don Heard all of Franklin, GA, Tracy Underwood of Rome, GA, Tammy Bridges of Anniston, Jon Underwood of Trussville; thirteen great grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; several much loved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Mrs. Bartlett was born, January 24, 1914, the daughter of Guy and Elizabeth Boyd Bonner. She was the oldest member of the Rock Mills United Methodist Church and had been a winder for Wehadkee Mills. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was affectionately known as "GAGA" by her grandchildren. Mrs. Bartlett was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Paul Bartlett, her parents, four brothers and three sisters. The family would like to express our thanks to the Traylor Retirement Community for their excellent care of our loved one during her stay.
