Obituary of Mary Myrtle Tucker

OBITUARY Funeral services for Mary Myrtle Tucker, age 86, of Roanoke, will be held Friday, January 21, 2011, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Puckett and Rev. Don Quick officiating. Burial will follow at White's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday. Mrs. Tucker died Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Lanier Nursing Home in Valley. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Dutton Maddox (Percy) of Valley; one son, John Tucker (Norma Morton) of Cedartown, Ga.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. A former resident of Cedartown, Georgia, Mrs. Tucker had retired from Aragon Mills. She was a member of White's Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Tucker; one grandson, Olin Gene Dutton; two great-grandsons, Timothy and Randall Lewis; one great-great-grandson, Nathan Olin Dutton; 11 brothers and sisters.
