Obituary of Glenda Morrison

Funeral services for Glenda Morrison, age 77, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Mrs. Morrison went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Byron Morrison of Roanoke; two daughters, Kay Baker (husband, Guy) of Wedowee and Beth Melton (husband, Adam) of Roanoke; two sons, Keith Morrison of Roanoke and Ken Morrison (wife, Dianna) of Roanoke; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Norred of Roanoke.

Mrs. Morrison’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Morrison was born on June 4, 1939, the daughter of Thomas Rex and Myrtle Lipham Cofield. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one infant brother, Jerry Wayne Cofield.
