OBITUARY

Funeral services for Willie B. Butts, age 70, of Roanoke, formerly of Wadley and Lakeland, Florida, will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011, at 2:00 pm from Mt. Gideon Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at South Cemetery, Blountsville.

The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 pm on Thursday.

Mr. Butts died Friday, January 21, 2011, at East Alabama Medical Center.

Survivors include one sister, Eula Mae Teal of Lakeland, Florida and one brother, Millard Butts of Tallahassee, Florida.

A Blount County native, Mr. Butts was born May 23, 1940, son of Claude L. and Ludie Green Butts. He had been a United States Merchant Marine.
