OBITUARY







Funeral services for, Mr. Benjamin Earnest "Square" Johnson, age 95, of Woodland, will be held 1:00 pm, Sunday, February 6, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Newnan, GA with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.



The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home on Saturday, February 5, 2011.



Mr. Johnson died Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation.



Mr. Johnson is survived by one step-daughter, Doris Wilson of Sylvan, NC; step-son, Davis Sweetmon of Newnan, GA; two nephews, Steven Johnson of Roanoke, David Johnson of Wedowee.



Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Ben Johnson, John Johnson



Mr. Johnson was born, July 15, 1915, the son of Robert and Ethel Earnest Johnson. He was a member of the Roanoke First Baptist Church, was manager of Monarck Wine Company; and had served in the Army and Air Force during WWII. Mr. Johnson was a member of the East Point Masonic Lodge #288, the Loyal Order of Moose East Point # 1498, Veteran of Foreign Wars East Point Lodge #7007. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Sweetmon Johnson; his parents; two brothers, Martin and Fred Johnson; one sister, Katherine Rampy.
