OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Miss. Katherine Louise Barnes, age 87, of Roanoke, will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, February 21, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ed Grooms officiating. Burial to follow in Cedarwood Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Sunday, February 20, 2011.
Miss. Barnes died, Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Traylor Retirement Community.
Miss. Barnes is survived by one sister, Doris Hester of Roanoke; one sister-in-law, Lena Barnes of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerone Hester, Billy Barnes, Wayne Roberts, Tim Carson.
Miss. Barnes was born, November 8, 1923, the daughter of Elmer Ernest and Militia Cullins Barnes. She was a member of Lowell United Methodist Church and had been a seamstress for Playtex. Miss. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Wilner, Frank, and Ernest Barnes; two sisters, Ann Carson and Hazel Roberts.
