Robert Lee Champion, Sr., age 69, of Roanoke passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Survivors include: one daughter, Angie Greer (husband, Jason) of LaGrange, GA; two sons, Robert Champion, Jr. (wife, Judy) and Daniel Champion, both of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mary Wright of Grove Hill, AL; and two brothers, Ernest Champion of Selma and Richard Champion of Monroeville, AL.

A Wilcox County, Alabama native, Mr. Champion was born on October 5, 1947, the son of Ellis Lee and Minnie Lou Sheffield Champion.  He attended High Pine Baptist Church and worked for NOK and Kleentex.  Mr. Champion was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Billy Champion; and one sister, Ann Hales.

There will be no services at this time.
