OBITUARY
Funeral services for Ronald Taylor, age 76, of Roanoke, will be held Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 3:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Sunday.
Mr. Taylor died Friday, February 25, 2011, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Gosdin Taylor of Roanoke; one daughter, Rhonda Finley (Dennis) of Auburn; three sons, Robin Taylor, Gary Taylor and Patrick Gooden (Lynn) all of Roanoke; three brothers, Thomas Taylor, Wayne Taylor and Winters Taylor; four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sammie Hill, John Harmon, Ray Simpson, Jimmie Sheffield, Chuck Marcum and Jerome Taylor.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Taylor was born April 1, 1934, son of Orvin and Florence Haynes Taylor. He was an Army veteran and attended Friendship Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Taylor; and one sister, Katherine Bailey.
