Funeral services for Rebecca Ann Calhoun, age 85, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Whaley and Rev. Jeff Burns officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 pm on Thursday, September 21 before services begin.

Mrs. Calhoun passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.

Survivors include: two daughters, Rebecca G. Hill and Elaine G. Daniel, both of Roanoke; one stepson, Dwayne Calhoun of Knoxville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Coy Calhoun of Valley.

Pallbearers will be Russ Daniel, Clint Daniel, Hayden Daniel, Heath Hill, J. C. Vivanco, and Kinnie Calhoun.

A Lafayette native, Mrs. Calhoun was born on September 22, 1931, the daughter of Rufus Sanders and Emma Weater Cottle Calhoun.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a retired nurse where she worked at West Georgia Medical Center.  Mrs. Calhoun was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Willard C. Gross, Milton Hancock, and Billy H. Calhoun; one sister, Mary Emma “Sissy” Calhoun; and three brothers, infant Ernestine Calhoun, Jack Calhoun and Roy Calhoun.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Cornerstone Church or Trinity Baptist Building Fund.
