Obituary of Penny L. Holloway

Funeral services for Penny L. Holloway, age 63, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 2:00 PM, from High Pine Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Potts and Rev. Kevin Ramsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.  Mrs. Holloway will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Wednesday.

Mrs. Holloway passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Pete Holloway of Roanoke; two sons, Scott Holloway and Chris Holloway (wife, Shannon), both of Roanoke; six grandchildren; and one brother, Ricky Young (wife, Doreen) of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Colby Holloway, Coy Holloway, Cale Holloway, Marc Jackson, Matthew Brown, and Eli Ramsey.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Holloway was born on October 22, 1953, the daughter of James Edgar and Grace Mickle Young.  She was a member of High Pine Baptist Church and worked as the City Clerk for the City of Roanoke.  Mrs. Holloway was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Mickey Young.
