OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Mr. Harvie Felton Hodges, age 88, of Roanoke, will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 6, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gordon Taylor officiating. Burial to follow in Forresters Chapel Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Saturday, March 5, 2011.
Mr. Hodges died Friday, March 4, 2011 at Randolph Medical Center.
Mr. Hodges is survived by one daughter, Joyce (husband Wylie) Rowe of Roanoke; two sons, James Edward(wife Mary Ann) Hodges of Wadley, Thomas Felton(wife Wanda) Hodges of Atalla; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Mr. Hodges was born, December 15, 1922, the son of Archie Major Waldo and Athea Crawford Hodges. He was a member of the Midway Full Gospel Church and had been a security guard for the Don Gay Wood Yard. Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Bell Tillis Hodges; his parents; two sisters, Pearl Pierce and Mary E. Frost; one brother, John C. Hodges.
