Obituary of Bobby Pilgrim

Funeral services for Bobby Pilgrim, age 71, of Roanoke, will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eddie White officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, October 30, 2017 and Tuesday, October 31, 2017.

Mr. Pilgrim passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at WellStar Douglas Hospital.

Survivors include: four children, Stephen Edward Pilgrim of Winston, GA, Kevin Richard Pilgrim of Lyles, TN, Robin Michelle Pilgrim of Lyles, TN, and Robert Michael Pilgrim of Athens, GA; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Lawhorn and Beth Centergram; and six brothers, Mike Pilgrim, Leroy Pilgrim, Russ Pilgrim, Ricky Pilgrim, Dewight Pilgrim, and Shane Pilgrim.

Pallbearers will be Zackary Pilgrim, Kevin Pilgrim, Kyle Moon, Caleb Pilgrim, Russ Pilgrim, and Shane Pilgrim.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Pilgrim was born on November 11, 1945, the son of Curtis Leroy Pilgrim and Ezzie Tuten Dunlap. He retired after 22 years from the military and worked as security director at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Phillip Pilgrim and Dennis Pilgrim.
