Funeral services for James Thomas “Jamie” Jackson, Jr., age 53, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 1:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Whaley officiating.  Burial will follow at Rock Springs Congregational Christian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

Mr. Jackson passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Jackson of Roanoke; one daughter, Lara Taylor (husband, Caleb); one son, Tyler Jackson (wife, Emily) of Fayetteville, NC; two grandchildren; Clayton Taylor and Lane Taylor; his father, James Jackson, Sr., of Roanoke; one brother, Glen Jackson of Roanoke; and one nephew, Chris Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Chris Jackson, Rocky Pennington, Larry Vowell, Rusty Sanders, Thornton Taylor, and Gary Bob Taylor.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Jackson was born on March 30, 1964, the son of James Thomas Jackson, Sr., and Camilla Smith Jackson.  He was a member of Rock Springs Congregational Christian Church.  Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his mother.
