Obituary of William Rollins, Jr.

Graveside services for William Rollins Jr., age 81, of Rock Mills, will be held Monday, December 18, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Frank Corb and Rev. Mike Brewer officiating.

The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 17th.

Mr. Rollins died Saturday, December 16, 2017, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Barfield Rollins of Rock Mills; one daughter, Misty Payne (Chad) of Rock Mills; one son, Brent Rollins (Kristi) of Rock Mills; two brothers, James Rollins and Danny Rollins, both of Woodland; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Albert Johnson, C. W. Perry, Jeremy Burks, Bryan Holloway, Randy Barfield and J. T. Price.

A Randolph County resident for most of his life, Mr. Rollins was born May 5, 1936, in Fort Pierce, Florida, the son of William E. and Bessie Huey Rollins.  He was a U. S. Navy veteran, a member of Rock Mills Methodist Church and had worked as a machinist with West Point Foundry.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lorene Williams.

Memorials may be floral or the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
