Obituary of William Brock Booker

Funeral services for William Brock “Billy” Booker, age 69, of Five Points will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 1:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dennis Farr officiating.  Burial will follow at Marseilles Cemetery in West Point, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. 

Mr. Booker passed away Monday, January 1, 2018, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Booker of Five Points; three daughters, Teresa Irvine of Newnan, GA, Sheila Cowart of Tyrone, GA, and Toni Caldwell of Beulah, AL; four sons, Frank Booker of Hamilton, GA, Ronnie Hogan of Wadley, Darrell Hogan of Hogansville, GA, and Gerald Hogan of Jackson Gap; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Elaine Clifton; and three brothers, John Booker, Ray Booker, and Calvin Booker.

Pallbearers will be Dan Cowart, David Eunice, Mike Griffin, Bill Irvine, Chad Hogan, and Travis Rooney.

A West Point, Georgia native, Mr. Booker was born on January 6, 1948, the son of Hewlett Hall and Gertrude Booker.  He worked as a mould maker at West Point Foundry.  Mr. Booker was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Fred Booker and Emory Booker.
