Obituary of Loretta Maria McCollough

Funeral services for Loretta Maria McCollough, age 93, of Valley, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 3:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Teague officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, March 4 before services begin.

Mrs. McCollough passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Bethany House in Auburn.

Survivors include: two sisters, Glennie Gorham and Dee Hamm, both of Lanett; one brother, Douglas Steen of Anniston; several nieces and nephews; and Joseph Valenzuela of Valley, a great-nephew whom she raised as a son.

Pallbearers will be Sonny Steen, Brad Hurst, Tommy Davis, Jake Morris, Patt Patterson, Jeff McCollough and Jody McCollough.

A Cleburne County native, Mrs. McCollough was born on October 8, 1924, the daughter of L. T. and Mary Nolen Steen.  She was an active member in the Roanoke Church of God and worked as a sales clerk for Sears.  Mrs. McCollough was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A. G. McCollough; five siblings, Helen Steen, George Steen, Mary Alice Courtney, Margie Willis and Wanda Steen.
