My deepest sympathy to the friends and family of Richard. We will never get used to losing our love ones in death. The reason is because we were created with everlasting life in view. (Ecclesiastes 3: 11) Therefore, Almighty God have promise that he will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, neither will anything that will make us sad (Revelation 21: 3, 4) To learn more, please visit jw.org and view the faith strengthening Video: What is the condition of the Dead.

My Uncle Dickie.
I learned a lot from you over your life time. The biggest trait that I attribute to you is that of humility.
Through the Great Depression, WWII, and years working in the cotton mill. You survived and raised a great family.
Every time we spoke. I was amazed to see how humble and kind you were. Through all of the trials that you faced over ninety four years of life in this earth. You stayed humble and thankful for all you had.
I admired and learned some of that same humility that has served me well over the years.
You deserved a hero’s praise for all you did, but yet you would never accept praise. You showed me that being thankful and kind is worth more in this life than hero’s praise.
You were an amazing man and I have been truly blessed to have known you.
