Obituary of Jerome Murlan Twiggs, Sr.

Graveside services for Jerome Murlan Twiggs, Sr., age 90, of Florida, formerly of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 8, 2018, from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Scott Hannah officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 pm on Sunday.

Mr. Twiggs died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Tidewell Hospice Home in Sarasota.

Survivors include one son, Jerome Murlan Twiggs, Jr of Lakewood Ranch, FL; and two grandchildren, Jerry Thomason Twiggs and June Rawls Twiggs.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Pike, Mark Lowry, Tommy Waldrep, and Randy Adamson.

Mr. Twiggs was born November 14, 1927, the son of James L. and Jessie Beckworth Twiggs.  He was Baptist by faith and was retired from the insurance industry.  Mr. Twiggs was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sybil Twiggs; one brother, Loomis Twiggs; and one sister, Shila Corley.
