OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Mrs. Ruth Helen Jackson Key, age 92, of Roanoke, will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 26, 2011, from Roanoke Church of Christ with Bro. Gerald Romine officiating. Burial to follow in Cedarwood Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 am at the church on Saturday, March 26th.
Mrs. Key went home to God on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
Mrs. Key is survived by three daughters, Frances (husband Larry)Point, Margaret (husband Tommy) Taaffe, Wanda Key; one son, Jack Key; five grandchildren, Teresa (husband Matt) Sussman, Slater Taaffe, Kendall Taaffe, Matt Key, Lauren Key; two great grandchildren, Olivia and Rebecca Sussman; one grandson-in-law, James Smith; two sisters, Peggy Rice, Jean Hubbard; one brother, Luther(wife Doris) Jackson.
Mrs. Key was born, December 18, 1918, the daughter of Luther Andrew and Margaret Ann Davis Jackson. She was a member of the Roanoke Church of Christ. Mrs. Key was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Raymond W. Key; her parents; three brothers, Clyde, Cecil and Hershel Jackson; one grand-daughter, Katherine Point Smith; one great grand-daughter, Prudence Katherine Smith.
