Memorial services for Karen P. Daniel, age 64, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at 2:00 PM from Standing Rock United Methodist Church with Rev. Nanette Brooks officiating.

Mrs. Daniel passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at Wellstar West Georgia.

Survivors include: her husband, James Daniel of Roanoke; two daughters, Natasha Shelnutt (Shaun Cannon) of Roanoke and Linda Michele Rickert (husband, Chaun) of Sebastopol, CA; two step-daughters, Phoebie Satterwhite and Jenny Daniel; one step-son, James Daniel; one sister, Debra Caldwell (husband, Jesse) of Roanoke; two brothers, Richard Clinton Brooks, Jr., of Hickory Flat and Thomas Steven “Bama” Brooks of Roanoke; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Daniel was born on September 14, 1953, daughter of Richard Clinton Brooks, Sr. and Frances Hudson Brooks.  Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by her parents, Richard “Dicky” and Frances Brooks.
