Obituary of Vera Faye Smith Mulkey
Graveside services for Vera Faye Smith Mulkey, age 76, of Roanoke, will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 2:00 PM from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Brewer officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, May 4, 2018.
Mrs. Mulkey passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil Mulkey; one grandchild, Angela Flores; and one great-grandchild, Timothy Wayne Flores.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
A Randolph County resident for most of her life, Mrs. Mulkey was born on March 30, 1942, the daughter of Rueben and Annie Waldrep Smith. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Kathy Mejia.
