OBITUARY
Funeral services for Rudy Olin Ferrell, age 80, of Roanoke, will be held Monday, March 28, 2011, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Calhoun and Rev. Wayne Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 27th.
Mr. Ferrell died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Ferrell of Roanoke; daughter, Cathy Bryant (Wade) of Roanoke; son, Gene Ferrell (Tammy) of LaGrange, Ga.; two sisters, Joyce West of Douglasville, Georgia and Eula Flora of Florida; one brother, Jasper Ferrell of Roanoke; and two grandchildren.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Ferrell was born June 8, 1930, son of William Rudy and Nassie Geneva Huddleston Ferrell. He retired from West Point Pepperell. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Casper Ferrell and Joe Ferrell.
