Obituary of Jerry Lamar "Jessie" Turman

Memorial services for Jerry Lamar “Jessie” Turman, age 28, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ridley Herren and Rev. Randy Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2018.

Mr. Turman passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018.

Survivors include his wife, Tabitha “DeAnn” Cummings Turman of Roanoke; one daughter, Alexus Victoria Cummings of Roanoke; his father, Denson Dunlap of Roanoke; three sisters, Bobbie Jo Taylor (husband, Stephen) of Wadley, AL, Kaylee Dunlap of Newell, AL, and Faith Dunlap of Wadley, AL; and two brothers, Kevin Dunlap of Wadley, AL and Corey Keele of Franklin, GA.

A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mr. Turman was born on August 12, 1989, the son of Denson and Jane Keele Dunlap. He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church, an Afghanistan War Veteran, and an employee of JAC Products in Franklin, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother.
