Obituary of Annie Margaret Dunlap

Funeral services for Annie Margaret Dunlap, age 86, of Roanoke, will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 2:00 PM from Welcome Home Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Delee, Rev. Marty Dunlap, and Rev. Billy Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Mrs. Dunlap will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services beginning on Thursday.

Mrs. Dunlap passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018, at her home.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean White (husband, Gene) of Roanoke, AL; four sons, Donnie Dunlap (wife, Dianne) of Centralhatchee, GA, Randy Dunlap (wife, Janet) of Whitesburg, GA, Marty Dunlap (wife, Sandra) of Roanoke, AL, and Terry Dunlap (wife, Trudy) of Rock Mills, AL; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, June Mathis of LaGrange, GA, Janice Robbins of Hogansville, GA, Sherry Pike of LaGrange, GA, and Linda Bassett of LaGrange, GA; two brothers, Kenneth Pike of Cleveland, TN and Larry Pike of Hogansville, GA; and a very special neighbor and friend, Tim Rushing.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Cobb, Derek Cobb, Britt Dunlap, Chris Mauldin, Chris Dunlap, and Kyle Dunlap.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Brown, Donnie Brown, and Ed Shelnutt.

A Troup County, GA native, Mrs. Dunlap was born on December 21, 1931, the daughter of Norman Hope and Nettie Ester Dorrough Pike. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.B. Dunlap; three brothers, Ralph Pike, Rendell Pike, and Jimmy Pike; and one grandson, Benjamin Dunlap.
