Obituary of Rita Franklin

Funeral services for Rita Franklin, age 59, of Roanoke, AL, will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at 3:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Steve Williams and Joe Franklin officiating. Burial will follow on Monday at Rosemere Cemetery in Opelika, AL.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 PM on Sunday.

Ms. Franklin passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018, at Traylor’s Nursing Home.

She is survived by one sister, Sherry Lee of Hawkinsville, GA; and one brother, Joe Franklin (wife, Donna) of LaGrange, GA.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Hart, Steve Williams, Wayne Kirby, Randall Harlin, Colt Tipton, and Mathew Harlin.

A Lee County native, Ms. Franklin was born on August 25, 1958, the daughter of Joseph William and Zeddie Lois Jenkins Franklin. She was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Kathy Potts.
