Obituary of Ryan Spencer Roberts

OBITUARY Funeral services for Ryan Spencer Roberts, age 24, of Roanoke, will be held Friday, April 15, 2011, at 3:00 pm from Roanoke First United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Richie officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, LaFayette, Alabama. The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 14th. Mr. Roberts died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include his mother, Sherry Roberts of Roanoke; father, Bob Roberts (Ellen) of Roanoke; one brother, Christopher Elliott Roberts of Carrollton, Ga.; two sisters, Lesley Roberts Arbaczauskas of Daphne and Courtney Leigh Roberts of Metairie, La.; two step-sisters, Heather Leigh Orr of Newnan, Ga. and Casey Danielle Tidwell of Wadley; ten nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Christopher Roberts, Spencer Roberts, Tim Hammond, Clay Sanford, Anthony Caldwell, Brian Taylor, Nathan Wortham and Eric Manning. A Roanoke resident since 1989, Mr. Roberts was born October 15, 1986 in Metairie, Louisiana. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was in the EMT training program at Southern Union State Community College. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Roanoke First United Methodist Church Youth Group (P. O. Box 40, Roanoke, AL 36274) or Trinity Baptist Church Youth Group (P. O. Box 705, Roanoke, AL 36274).
