OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Mr. Jimmie Lamar Moore, age 79, of Roanoke, will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harold Bonner and Rev. Steve Baccus officiating. Burial to follow in Cedarwood Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.
Mr. Moore died Monday, April 11, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Mitchum Moore of Roanoke; one daughter, Stacy Ann Moore of Roanoke; two sons, James Larry(wife Kathie) Moore of Stapleton, Douglas Eugene(wife Teresa) Moore of Roanoke; two sisters, Bonnie Sue Knight of Roanoke, Faye Marie Webster of Hopkinsville, KY; one brother, Thomas Eugene Moore of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Jessica Lauren Moore and Joshua Logan Moore both of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Garfield Clark, Johnny Adcock, Robbie Robertson, John Abernathy, Curt Yarbrough and Guy Thompson.
Mr. Moore was born, September 20, 1931, the son of Lamar Eugene and Maude Ellen Aldridge Moore. He had been a member of Lowell United Methodist Church, founder of JLM Co, Inc. Served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
