Funeral services for Lurlene Walker Brown Pierce, age 80, of Woodland, will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wade Price officiating.  Burial will follow at Big Springs Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2018.

Ms. Pierce passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at her home.

Survivors include: two daughters, Glory Hill of Woodland and Debbie Hendricks (Bobby) of Franklin, GA.; one step-daughter, Christine Davenport of Arkansas; two sons, George Edward Brown of Folsom, LA and Doyle Eugene Brown of Woodland; one step-son, Andrew Bo Pierce of LaGrange, GA; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cory Baughtman, Joseph Hendricks, Christopher Hill, Joe Brown, Josh Chance, Hunter Brown, and Bill Harris.

A Woodland native, Ms. Pierce was born on June 4, 1938, the daughter of Felix Elisha Walker and Bessie Bowen Walker. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and worked at Franklin Aluminum. She was preceded in death by parents, former husbands, George Brown and David Pierce; daughter, Betty Lurlene Brown; son, Billy Ray Brown; sister, Lonnie Will Noles; brother, Ellis Ray Walker; grandson, Jonathan Lamar Hendricks.
