Obituary of Rheba Adams

Funeral services for Rheba J. Adams, age 76, of Wadley will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mickey Vaughn and Rev. Randy McGill officiating.  Burial will follow at Munford Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2019. 

Mrs. Adams passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Survivors include: two daughters, Lynne Adams and Renea Adams Burson, both of Roanoke; one son, Nathan Adams of Wadley; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Watts, Rex Adams, Greg Adams, Adam Coker, Randy McGill, and Joel Haynes.

A Talladega native, Mrs. Adams was born on August 17, 1942, the daughter of Earnest Ora and Zelma Kirkpatrick Haynes.  She was a member of Abanda Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmer Nathaniel Adams, Sr.; one sister, Joyce Haynes; and three brothers, J. W. Haynes, Howard Haynes, and Homer Haynes.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Abanda Baptist Church at 17388 Hwy 77, Wadley, AL 36276.
