Obituary of Nan Smith
Nan Marie Smith, 47, of Valley, AL, passed away on January 20, 2019, in Columbus, Georgia.
Survivors include one sister, Shan Ayres of Opelika; two brothers, Bill Smith of Roanoke and Cliff Smith of Opelika; and her stepmother, Wanda Smith of Opelika.
A Roanoke, Alabama native, Ms. Smith was born on December 4, 1971, the daughter of Wayne and Eddie Brown Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Lynn Ayres.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Roanoke, Alabama, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00 before services begin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Nan’s memory be made to the charity of one’s choice.
