Obituary of Margie Lou Kelley Dobson
Funeral services for Margie Lou Kelley Dobson, age 86, of Wadley will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Jordan and Bro. Junior Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Mrs. Dobson will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Sunday.
Mrs. Dobson passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Tanner-East Alabama Hospital in Wedowee.
Survivors include: four daughters, Debbie Fetner, Tina Knight (Kim), and Patricia Bailey (Junior), all of Wadley, and Kelli McCain (Neil), of Woodland; daughter-in-law, Renae Dobson of Wadley; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Richie Fetner, Charlie Fetner, Rusty Bailey, Robby Bailey, Kyle Knight, Kevin Knight, and Hunter McCain. Honorary pallbearers will be Coleman Bailey, Amos Jack Bailey, Austin Knight, Trey Fetner, and Ridge Dobson.
A lifelong Wadley resident, Mrs. Dobson was born on July 8, 1932, the daughter of Charlie and Lena Hunt Kelley. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was retired from Clegg Manufacturing. Mrs. Dobson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Eugene Dobson, Sr; one son, Clyde Eugene Dobson, Jr; one brother, Junior Kelley; and two sisters, Doris Robinson and Eva Tidwell.
