Obituary of Kay Bonner Brown

Funeral services for Kay Bonner Brown, age 77, of Roanoke, AL, will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Burns and Rev. Richard Richie officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Church beginning at 12 noon on Thursday.

Mrs. Brown passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. 

Survivors include her husband, Donald Malcolm Brown of Roanoke; one daughter, Louellen Brown Gurley of LaGrange, GA; one granddaughter, Catherine Ellen Gurley of Birmingham; one brother, Robert Louis Bonner of Donaldsonville, GA; one sister-in-law Sheryl Bonner of Ashland; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Wilder, Robbie Wilder, David Edmondson, and nephews, Monroe Bonner, Larry Bonner, and Don Bonner. 

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Brown was born on March 12, 1941, the daughter of Earl Stevenson and Louise Terry Bonner.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the New Beginnings Sunday School Class and had been employed with Emory Clinic.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Darrell Bonner, Lee Bonner, Ulmont Bonner, John Bonner, Blount Bonner; sisters, Hazel Bonner, Anne Bonner Avery, Miriam Bonner Arnold, and Helen Bonner Haralson.
