Funeral services for Dwain Waldrep, age 77, will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Waldrep, Bro. Darren White, Bro. Lynn Janney, and Bro. Gary Baswell officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery in Broughton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. 

Mr. Waldrep passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019, at his home surrounded by his wife and children.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Shirley Jean Bolt Waldrep of Roanoke; two daughters, Alesia Hester (husband, Ricky) and Becky McDaniel (husband, Al), both of Roanoke; two sons, Jerry Waldrep and Dennis Waldrep (wife, Donna), both of Roanoke; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Butler, Jagar Anthony, Chris Cates, Deaven McDaniel, Ronald White, Tim Jackson and Ricky White.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Waldrep was born on November 29, 1941, the son of Harold Mitchell and Flossie Mildred Brown Waldrep.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Church of God and was a supervisor at West Point Pepperell where he retired after 26 years.  Mr. Waldrep was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Flossie Waldrep and two sisters, Geneva White Parmer and Carroll Cuvillier.
