Obituary of Leonard G. Brewer

Graveside services for Leonard G. Brewer, age 86, of Roanoke, will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 3:00 PM CST from Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, AL with Bro. Mike Brewer officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM CST on Friday, March 15, 2019.

Mr. Brewer passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

He is survived by three daughters, Katrina Upchurch (David) of Munford, AL, Linda Leimbach (Jim) of Atlanta, GA, and Lisa Yarbrough (Brian) of Lanett, AL; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mr. Brewer was born on July 26, 1932, the son Joseph B. Brewer and Georgia Vaughn. He was Christian by faith and retired from West Point Pepperell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia Louise Brewer; one sister, Glennie Hester; and two brothers, Johnnie Brewer and Hoyt Brewer.
