Funeral services for Janice Anita Presnal Mayfield, age 85, of Roanoke, AL, will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roger Woodard and Rev. Tim Whaley officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.   

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Mrs. Mayfield passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. 

She is survived by two daughters, Luvenia Shuman (Ben) of Niceville, FL, and Nina Truelock (Chris) of Caledonia, MS; two sons, Mike Heard (Brenda) of Roanoke, and Thomas Ray Mayfield (Laraine) of Roanoke; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Judy Jackson (Miles) of Lula, GA; and one brother, Ronald C. Presnal (Elaine) of Carrollton, GA.       

Pallbearers will be Torry Shuman, T.J. Mayfield, Joshua Truelock, Coy Holloway, Cale Holloway, and Nick Bianco. 

A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Mayfield was born November 23, 1933, the daughter of Ray Curtis Presnal and Fannie Bailey Presnal.  She was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter J. (Dub) Mayfield, and one infant son, Walter Jay Mayfield.
