Obituary of William Thomas Huey, Jr.

Graveside services for William Thomas “Tommy” Huey, Jr., age 69, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Bart Lester officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

Mr. Huey passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019, at his residence.

Survivors include: one son, Brian Huey (Brooke) of Auburn; two grandchildren, Ashlyn and Natalie Huey; and close relatives, Smokey Cole and Rick Pounds.

Pallbearers will be Charles Wise, Tommy Neighbors, Darrell Crenshaw, Ricky Barnett, B. J. Barnett, and Bo Anthony.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Roanoke Fishing Club.

A long-time Roanoke resident, Mr. Huey was born on October 10, 1950, the son of William Thomas Huey, Sr., and Pauline Harper Huey.  He was a member of Roanoke First United Methodist Church and worked as the manager for a concrete company.  Mr. Huey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patty Huey; and his sister, Nancy Pounds.
