Obituary of George Delmar Carson

Graveside services for George Delmar Carson, age 67, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Forresters Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Mickey Vaughn and Rev. Warren Wilder officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM before services begin on Sunday.

Mr. Carson passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Tanner-East Alabama Medical in Wedowee.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Carson; one son, George O. Carson of Roanoke; one sister, Rebecca Clegg (William) of Wadley; and two brothers, Gerson Carson (Sally) of Roanoke and Wyatt Carson (Dawn) of Woodland.

A Chambers County native, Mr. Carson was born on July 11, 1951, the son of Colbert D. and Dorothy White Carson.  He was a member of Souls Harbor Baptist Church and worked as a cabinet constructor for Wellborn Cabinets.  Mr. Carson was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sheila Oknutry; and one brother, Leroy Carson.
