Obituary of Agnes Benefield Landers
Graveside services for Agnes Benefield Landers, age 92, of Wadley, AL, will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at 2:30 PM from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Scott Whaley officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Landers passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019, at Traylor Health & Rehab Center.
She is survived by one son-in-law, Tyre Cole of Wadley, AL; two grandchildren, Denney Cole and Chris Cole; three great-grandchildren, Dusty Cole, Cassie Cole, and Anna Kate Cole; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kyler Ogle and Clate Ogle.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Landers was born on January 29, 1927, the daughter of McCarley and Doshie Madden Benefield. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and had worked as a sewing machine operator at Palm Beach. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Clay “G.C.” Landers; one daughter, Vicky Cole; one son, Tony Landers; one sister, Runette Walker; and two brothers, Dorsey Benefield and Doyle Benefield.
