Obituary of Stephen Michael Smith

Funeral services for Stephen Michael “Little Steve” Smith, age 34, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Brewer and Rev. David Taft officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2019.

Mr. Smith passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019, in Port St. Joe, Florida.

Survivors include his father, Ricky Smith of Roanoke; mother, Denise Burks of Roanoke; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Frances Smith of Roanoke; maternal grandmother, Shirley Satterwhite of Roanoke; one sister, Stephanie Paige Smith of Roanoke; one half-brother, Austin Ryan Smith of Roanoke; one niece, Lexi Vowell and one nephew, Buba Vowell, both of Roanoke; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be Chris Cox, Dustin Smith, Chuck Johnson, and Steven Vowell.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Smith was born on September 7, 1984, the son of Richard Joseph Smith and Sharon Denise Burks.  He worked in construction.
