Obituary of Mrs. Clyde H. Brown

Funeral services for Clyde H. Brown, age 81, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. S. T. Janney and Bro. Mike Brewer officiating.  Burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Mrs. Brown passed away Friday, October 25, 2019, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include: one daughter, Patsey Pinkard (husband, Tommy) of Roanoke; two sons, Jackie Ray Brown (wife, Dedria) of Franklin, Ga, and Ricky Ray Brown of Roanoke; daughter-in-law, Becky Brown of Roanoke; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Polly Martin of Cusseta, AL; and four brothers, John Etheridge Bradley of LaGrange, GA, Horace Bradley of Cusseta, AL, Charles Mac Bradley of West Point, GA, and Billy Ray Bradley of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be David Bradley, Anthony Swinford, Kevin Pinkard, Matt Pinkard, Skyler Williamson, Richard Williamson and Leavere Brown. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Williamson.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Brown was born on February 22, 1938, the daughter of Ross Griffin and Flora Clyde White Bradley.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and worked as a winder for West Point Stevens.  Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Brown; one son, Paul Brown; one daughter, Patricia Mitchell; three sisters, Dolly Brown, Louise Bradley, and Doris Dubley; four brothers, Sanford Bradley, Ovid “Preach” Bradley, Elbert Bradley, and Bobby Bradley; and a grandchild, Barbara Brown.
