OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Mr. Charles E. Taft, age 75, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 30, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Taft officiating. Burial to follow in Wehadkee Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Friday, July 29, 2011.
Mr. Taft died July 28, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Taft is survived by his wife, Sara Beth Newell Taft of Roanoke; three sons, Alan (wife Donna) Taft of South Carolina, Keith(wife Rita) Taft of Roanoke, Kyle Taft of Roanoke; one brother, Fred Taft of Roanoke; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Norred, Ayern Taft, Charles Taft, Alan Taft and Keith Taft.
Mr. Taft was born, August 2, 1935, the son of Will B. and Ella Huey Taft. He was of the Baptist faith and a farmer. Mr. Taft was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Tez Cook and Earlene Taft; four brothers, Woodrow, Ray, Barney and Wymon Taft.
