Obituary of Randall Elder Clanton

OBITUARY Funeral services for, Mr. Randall Elder Clanton, age 54, of Roanoke, will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Emery officiating. Mr. Clanton will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Mr. Clanton died August 1, 2011 at his home. Mr. Clanton is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tammy Baldwin Clanton of Roanoke; two daughters, Melissa Clanton(husband Michael) Tripp of Roanoke, Melody Clanton(husband Brent) Merrill of Ranburne; two sons, Joshua Randall(wife April) Clanton of Roanoke, Matthew Baldwin Clanton of Roanoke; one sister, Glenda Rogers of Buttston; nine grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joshua Clanton, Matthew Clanton, Brent Merrill, Michael Tripp, Tony Baldwin, David Clanton, Tim Broach. Honorary pallbearer, Brody Clanton. Mr. Clanton was born, March 4, 1957, the son of Elder and Agnes Talbot Clanton. He was a member of the Lowell Methodist Church and had worked for 431 Fuel Connection, Mohawk Industries and Independent Life Insurance.
