Obituary of Joseph Hendrick McDonald, Jr.

Funeral services for Joseph Hendrick “Uncle Joe” McDonald, Jr., age 80, of Woodland will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Sister Carolyn Hanner officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2020. Mr. McDonald passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at his residence. Survivors include: one daughter, Lori Lee Addington (Charlie) of McCloud, OK; one son, Michael Thomas McDonald (Jennifer) of Hollandville, OK; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Ann Roach of Hillard, FL; and caregiver and niece, Bonnie Pilgrim (Ricky) of Roanoke. Pallbearers will be Clark Benefield, Gene Benefield, Jamie Benefield, Robert Benefield, Justin Benefield, and Benji Brown. A Waterloo, NY native, Mr. McDonald was born on August 16, 1939, the son of Joseph Hendrick McDonald, Sr., and Helen Bannostraund McDonald. He was a member of Woodland Church of God and was a retired veteran of the United States Navy where he served in the Vietnam conflict. Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard John McDonald.
