OBITUARY
Sara Crutchfield Paschal of Roanoke, AL died Friday, August 12, 2011 at the West Georgia Hospice of LaGrange, GA following a brief illness. Mrs. Paschal was 84 years old and had been a resident of Roanoke for 57 years.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM (CDT) at Quattlebaum Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Paschal will be held Monday, August 15 at 2:00 PM (CDT) in the Quattlebaum Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Dean and Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Interment will follow at the Randolph Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her three daughters: Marsha Evans (Jim) of Hampton Cove, AL, Teresa Evans (John) of Pendleton, SC, Tammy Stewart (David) of Spanish Fort, AL; one grandson, Keith Evans (Rita) of Delaware, OH; six granddaughters: Lisa Mathis of Owens Crossroads, AL, Julia Stewart of Washington, DC, Margaret Stewart of Auburn, AL, Anna Evans of Columbia, SC, Lindsay Mathis of Milan, TN and Stuti Kapadia of Delaware, OH; one great-grandchild, Blair Mathis of Owens Crossroads, AL; and one brother, L. M. Crutchfield of Evans, GA.
Mrs. Paschal was born on September 18, 1926 in Langdale, AL, daughter of Walter and Velma Crutchfield. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Roanoke where she enjoyed being involved with the FBC Prayer Connection Team, the Bereavement Committee, Vacation Bible School, the Women on Missions Group and serving as a Church Office volunteer. She was a loving homemaker and bookkeeper for Mr. Paschal's Metropolitan Life Insurance business and worked a short time as a receptionist at Amoco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wilburn Paschal; a sister, Helen C. Scott; and a brother, W. L. Crutchfield.
