Obituary of James Donald Fincher

Funeral services for James Donald Fincher, age 70, of Roanoke, AL, will be held Friday, March 6, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Denise White and Jacob White officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Mr. Fincher passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020, at his residence. He is survived by wife, Maria Cardwell Fincher; daughter, Michelle Lindsay (Lee); son Jeffrey Fincher; grandchildren, Lucas Lindsay, Reese Fincher, and Jena Lindsay; and sisters, Linda Thomas, Vernette Smith, and Norma Farrar. Pallbearers will be Jacob White, Ronnie Smith, Darryl Thomas, Blake Cummings, Jeremy Cummings, and Colton Murphy. A Randolph County native, Mr. Fincher was born October 21, 1949, the son of James Barner and Artie Lou Brown Fincher. He worked as a mechanic at Uniroyal for over 37 years. He also served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Voncille Cummings and Barbara Blackmon.
